Donation to the Philippines

Super Typhoon Haiyan has caused deadly damages to the Philippines. It was decided to donate HK$23,400 (US$3,000) via the HKMA Charitable Foundation (Foundation) to World Vision Hong Kong for the relief of the typhoon victims. Dr. CHOW Pak Chin, Chairman of the Foundation and Dr. Alvin Y.S. CHAN, Co-Chairman of the HKMA International Affairs Committee presented the big cheque to Mr. Kelvin CHIU, CEO of World Vision Hong Kong at our Central Premises on 20 December 2013.
The funds will be used to support the relief and rehabilitation work in the region of Cebu, Leyte, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan and Antique, targeting 400,000 individuals / 80,000 families. For details, please refer to www.worldvision.org.hk/our-work/philippines-typhoon-relief .
