Support Japan Earthquake and Tsunami
Relief
今年三月，日本東北部發生九級大地震及海嘯，我們透過電子網絡及會員通訊向醫學界同業募捐，支持香港紅十字會在當地的救援工作。經過幾個月的時間，籌募活動已順利完結，我們共收到港幣六萬三千五佰元捐款。
香港醫學會慈善基金主席周伯展醫生已於六月十七日將捐款支票轉交香港紅十字會，由該會國際及賑災服務部副主管劉冰小姐接收。
劉小姐表示，香港紅十字會已收到來自個人及機構的捐款超過港幣一億五千萬元，大部分款項已電匯至日本紅十字會，用以向災民派發保溫衣服、毛毯、應急用品包，以及為居住在臨時收容中心的災民添置家庭電器套裝，其餘善款將用於賑災及災後恢復重建工作。再次感謝各位的慷慨支持！
