Support Mainland Flood Relief
二零一零年入夏後，內地廣泛地區暴雨成災，破壞嚴重。甘肅舟曲縣大規模泥石流，死傷枕藉。災情嚴峻，香港醫學會慈善基金即時決定捐出港幣十萬元，透過香港紅十字會，支持當地賑災工作。香港醫學會慈善基金主席周伯展醫生已於八月二十日，將十萬元的捐款支票轉交香港紅十字會，由該會國際及賑災服務部副主管劉冰小姐接收。
為解決內地災民在糧食、臨時安置，以及長遠的重建問題，自八月起，我們向醫學會會員及醫療界同業募捐，支持香港紅十字會在內地的洪災救援工作。經過兩個月的時間，籌募活動已順利完結，除香港醫學會慈善基金撥出港幣十萬元外，我們共收到港幣十八萬四千九十元捐款。
